The 2025 Edition of Longrow 100 Proof is here! And this time it has a fascinating cask make-up. It’s been matured for almost four years in refill bourbon barrels, ahead of a two-year secondary maturation in Pinot Noir casks! The interplay of peat and wine cask is stunning here, and at 57.1% ABV, it packs a hefty punch, too.
Official tasting notes:
Nose: The peat smoke influence presents in medicinal, tcp notes, along with notes of redcurrants on the nose.
Palate: Softer on the palate, the peat smoke has a more earthy, musty element now, with notes of creme brulee, vanilla and almonds.
Finish: Red cola cubes, strawberry laces and marzipan are at the forefront of the smoky Longrow finish.
