Chorlton Whisky

A little background to the Chorlton Whisky company. 

Chorlton Whisky started with whisky tasting events in and around a part of Manchester U.K called Chorlton.

The company founder David was a true whisky fan, his events where always about the enjoyment of whisky above all else, with the vast number of single malts from across Scotland he could have simply carried on with the events, but something clicked that he could possibly do a little more.

At first David was thinking about doing the odd exclusive tasting event bottles, again he thought he had to do a little more to stand out. around 2017 the seeds of the business we know today started to grow.

David purchased his first cask in 2017, because he was going to grow the business organically it was a steady start rather than rushing things through, this also gave him time to select the right casks for release. 

Over the coming years more single cask bottlings would be added to the range, each selling quickly to a market looking for something new, and above all else tasty, and interesting of course.

We asked David about the labels and what inspired him to choose the images he uses for the releases, With a keen interest in art from medieval times 800 up-to the 1800’s

David is always finding inspiration from the taste that each cask imparts to the whisky, and of course his love of art for each single cask offering.

The current series is all about Health & Wellbeing from the medieval period.
