Independently bottled Aberfeldy here from the Rare Find team at Gleann Mòr Spirits. Aberfeldy is known for being smooth, round and honeyed, and this dram aligns beautifully with its sweet profile. Located in the southern Highlands, the single malt distillery predominantly fills ex-bourbon casks which allows its character to shine – and this refill barrel perfectly does the job. Distilled back in 2005, this is a wonderfully aged dram. 

Nose: Honey immediately leaps from the glass, followed by zesty orange and custard cream biscuits.

Palate: Round and a little waxy, there’s poached orchard fruit and a sticky caramel in with gentle sweet spices and more of that honey.

Finish: Medium length and mellow, with candied orange and malty notes.
