Maker's Mark Kentucky Straight Bourbon 45%
Maker’s Mark dates back to 1954 and is today known for its deliciously smooth, creamy flavour profile and its iconic red wax seal. It’s made using wheat instead of rye, which is what gives the whiskey its silken mouthfeel. For the bourbon geeks out there, it’s also distilled to the lowest proof of any US whiskey, packing in loads of flavour.
Tasting note:
Nose: Warm, toasty and nutty, with honeycomb, milk chocolate and citrus peels in with vanilla ice cream.
Palate: Rich and round, the vanilla ice cream continues alongside toffee apple, fudge and a touch of coconut.
Finish: Medium length and drying into marmalade on toast.
