Braes of Glenlivet 28 Year Old 1994 Woodrow's of Edinburgh 53.8% ABV

An elegant expression here from Braes of Glenlivet, now shortened to Braeval. The 28 year old single malt was distilled at its Speyside home back in 1994, and spent its life maturing in a refill bourbon barrel. Independent bottler Woodrow’s of Edinburgh have released it at 53.8% ABV with no added colour or chill-filtration.

Tasting note:

Nose: Fresh and citrussy, with smooth vanilla, nutty marzipan and a soft coconut building with time.

Palate: Honeyed and round, there are fudge, almond and milk chocolate notes, with gentle cinnamon spice and an earthy dustiness.

Finish: Medium to long, with more drying spices.
