A dram that inspires reflection, Echoes is the 12th bottling from the Leith-based Woven Whisky blenders. Their philosophy is to push the art of whisky blending – and celebrate life’s blending in general – and this is a beautiful expression that absolutely elevates the category.
Tasting note:
Nose: Subtle at first, and then an elegant complexity spanning soft fruits and gentle smoke arrives, all nested in a bed of malty notes.
Palate: More of the maritime, fresh-air smoke, along with cinnamon spice, soft fruits and a toasted oakiness.
Finish: Medium length and wonderfully balanced between smoke and sweet.
