Tasting note:
Nose: Subtle at first, and then an elegant complexity spanning soft fruits and gentle smoke arrives, all nested in a bed of malty notes.
Palate: More of the maritime, fresh-air smoke, along with cinnamon spice, soft fruits and a toasted oakiness.
Finish: Medium length and wonderfully balanced between smoke and sweet.
