The Cardrona Growing Wings Ex-Old Forester Bourbon Barrel - 65.7% ABV

Single malt all the way from New Zealand! This release from the South Island’s Cardrona Distillery has been matured in an ex-Old Forester bourbon cask for five years. It’s bottled at natural cask strength in a cute 350ml bottle – making sure the incredibly limited whisky can reach as many lips as possible. It’s presented in a smart wooden box, too!

Tasting note:

Nose: Grassy and aromatic, with toffee apple, barley, vanilla and hazelnut notes, alongside salted butter.

Palate: Like a red fruit jam along with citrus peels, fresh vanilla pods, cream soda, buttery Danish pastries and a smattering of cracked black pepper.

Finish: Long and gently warming, with more buttery baked goods.
