An exciting expression here and the first in Mossburn’s Cask Collaboration series. Here the Speyside blended malt has been finished for a year in casks from celebrated Barbados rum distillery, Foursquare. The result is a vibrantly honeyed, rich dram released at a robust batch strength of 57.7% ABV.
Tasting note:
Nose: Bright and bold with jammy berry notes, milk chocolate, coconut, ginger biscuits and a slight subtle rummy funk.
Palate: More fruits abound, this time apples and pears. Brown sugar, ice cream wafer, cinnamon and nutmeg come through.
Finish: Long with more chocolatey spices.
