Eine wirklich faszinierende Veröffentlichung des rumänischen Herstellers Carpathian Single Malt. Für diesen Ausdruck verwendete das Team Fässer, in denen zuvor der alte zypriotische Wein Commandaria gelagert war. Der süße Dessertwein verleiht der Spirituose eine ungewöhnliche Würze sowie einen wunderschönen hellen Kupferton. Vor dem Einfluss des Weinfasses verbrachte dieser drei Jahre in ehemaligen Bourbonfässern aus amerikanischer Eiche aus Kentucky.
Verkostungsnotiz:
Nase: Hell und jugendlich mit leicht kräuterigen Gewürznoten mit Mürbeteig, Obstgartenfrüchten und einer guten Portion Malz.
Geschmack: Mehr Frucht, diesmal Apfel und Aprikose. Später kommt Zitronengras hinzu, zusammen mit Leinöl.
Abgang: Mittellang mit anhaltender öliger Note.
