Pulteney 15 Year Old 2007 Woodrow's of Edinburgh 57.8% ABV

An independently bottled expression from Pulteney, one of the most northerly distilleries in Scotland. Distilled up in Wick in 2007, this release spent 15 years in a first-fill ex-bourbon barrel before bottling in June this year. It’s a fantastic example of the distillery’s coastal character, bottled at natural colour and no chill-filtration.

Tasting note:

Nose: Initially like an apple crumble, before milk chocolate and an almost seaweed note arrives along with black pepper.

Palate: The palate brings with it increased complexity, alongside honey, citrus peels and a salted caramel character.

Finish: Medium-length, extending into that black pepper note.
