Pulteney 11 Year Old First-Fill Bourbon Barrel - Càrn Mòr

Pulteney distillery is located way up in Wick and offers a malty, fruity flavour profile. This Càrn Mòr independent bottling celebrates this with its ex-bourbon maturation. Part of the Strictly Limited series, there’s no added colour or chill-filtration here. Perfect if you really want to get to know the northerly distillery.

Nose: There’s a salted caramel suggestion, alongside coconut, green apples, fresh coconut and yum-yum baked treats.

Palate: The maltiness seems to bring an oily texture, with citrus peels and pineapple cutting through. There’s more coconut, honey, milk chocolate, and a suggestion of seaside proximity.

Finish: Medium length with gentle sweet spices.
