Edition OO1 is a 1998 refill hogshead of 23 year old Highland Park. It has been bottled at natural cask strength of 57.0%

Nose: What a surprisingly rich nose of sweet oak, warming notes of candied orange and peat, in comes some herbal and soft baked fruit loaf, tangy and medicinal, poached pears and toasted almonds.

Palate: The nose was rich so is the opening of the palate, With melon and black pepper adding a nice contrast of soft sweet tones with a drying spice, toasted cinnamon buns, burnt toffee adding a sweet and tangy note, soft peat and sweet coastal smoke, toffee popcorn, seaside barbecue, chocolate and vanilla with a touch of fresh baked bread and farmhouse butter.

An old school dram that keeps on giving on the palate.
