Cardrona Full Flight Sherry Cask #114 62.7%

One of the oldest releases from New Zealand’s Cardrona single malt distillery, Full Flight Sherry Cask #114 has seen double-sherry maturation. It started life in a González Byass Oloroso butt, before being moved into a Pedro Ximénez cask for a finishing period. The result is best described as decadent: powerfully rich, and sumptuously overflowing with flavour. It's released in a 350ml format.

Tasting note:

Nose: The nose opens with rich butter croissants, pain au chocolat, raisins, and a wash of sweet stone fruits.

Palate: The palate is nuttier with a hint of earthiness, while remaining set around jammy fruits with a honeyed texture.

Finish: Long and powerful, with hot cross buns.
