Caperdonich 18 Year Old Peated 48% ABV

A Secret Speyside Collection bottling here direct from the lesser-seen Caperdonich Distillery. And yes – you can get smoke in Speyside! This one has been aged for 18 years in American oak barrels, and the peat combines beautifully with the pear-forward, creamy distillery character.

Tasting note:

Nose: Toffee immediately comes to the fore, along with peach, dried citrus peels and a dusting of earthy peat smoke.

Palate: The peat is much more prominent here, and it’s balanced by raisins, dried figs and cranberries, along with the characteristic soft pear and fudge.

Finish: Toasty with gentle smoke.
