Ardmore 2010-22 W&M Islay Cask 46% Vol 

Surprisingly gentle single malt from a Highlands distillery that is otherwise known for making a rather robust and smoky whisky

Nose: The influence is peat is much more restrained, With a sweet and rich coastal fruit, some, heather and charred oak, pine needles and damp forest, whiffs of light smoke and sweet oak spices. 

Palate: Rich with a little soft mineral and sweet dried fruits, melon and pineapple are soon replaced by a waxy flavour with some toasted wholemeal bread, some rich and creamy citrus fruits, a little leather and polished wood, fruity and rich in the very nicely balanced finish.
