Matured in a refill (2nd fill) sherry cask
Nose: Exudes richness from the moment this dram hits the glass, the sherry cask influence is very apparent, no dryness or too much oily notes so the spirit really shines through with soft strawberry, mango, and peach, French patisseries, soft hints of maple, sultanas, and dark red fruits, some nutty and soft leather notes round the aromas off perfectly.
Palate: With a rich creamy toffee and vanilla note that opens to a candied orange and soft citrus, some soft peppery notes add balance to the sweetness before we head into the dark fruits, figs, red currant, damson jam, hints of soft fudge and crisp nutty flavours, soft puffed rice, milk chocolate with a soft chewy toffee. The finish is a lingering rich soft mineral tone, with a crispy nutty, spice and vanilla pod.
