This is a rare release from Siete Misterios, created in small batches in Santiago Matatlan rather than the Sola de Vega region like most of their other mezcal. They triple-distil their Pechuga in a copper still and include fruit, spices and a raw chicken breast before the third distillation to impart flavour to the final product.
Tasting Note:
Nose: strong wafts of smoke followed by gassy, herbaceous and vegetal notes.
Palate: More smoke at the front with sweet tropical notes to balance out the vegetal finish.
Finish: Long and herby with lingering charcoal.
