Hermitage Grande Champagne Cognac 43% Vol 2010 

2010 vintage Grande Champagne Cognac, from Hermitage, This expression was produced with Ugni Blanc, and Folle Blanche grapes. Its then matured in a mix of Old & new Limousin casks. 

To add a more interaction with the spirit and wood some wood chips are added imparting a rich tannic influence to the vintage. 

Nose: Smooth and rich aromas of milk and dark chocolate, fresh baked dark fruit cake, some sultana and figs, soft leather and tobacco leaves, hints of sweet spices, cinnamon and honey glazed doughnuts, some wet oak and dark charred fruits. 

Palate: Truffles and Turkish delight opening the front of the palate, some latte foam with toasted coffee beans, dark chocolate and a sweet spice, malt loaf and dark toffee, damson and dates with a little vanilla and dry spice, hints of candied orange peel.
