A medium bodied Islay single malt, with the right balance between the maritime character and the influence of the casks.
Nose: The first thing that hits you is a robust peat and fresh crisp smoke, hints of iodine mingle with a refreshing citrus, some tar and pitch notes, a great mix with a soft orange and tropical fruit aroma.
Palate: Opening with smoke and a rich vanilla note, some vibrant citrus and honey flavours, green tea, a little olive oil and vine leaves, as the dram settles into the mid palate some springtime freshness comes into play, fresh cut meadow grass, soft apple blossom, more smoke, spices, and soft peat in the finish to round this dram off nicely.
