Benrinnes 21 Year Old 2002 Hogshead Vintage Reserve #3453 46.3% 70cl

Benrinnes is a fascinating distillery. Largely reserved for blends – a compliment for malts that underscored their quality – from 1974 to the mid-2000s it operated using a partial triple-distillation process. This expression was made during this period, which accounts for its fruit-forward, honeyed character. Aged for over two decades in a hogshead, it joins our Vintage Reserve collection of long-aged, distillate-forward malts.

Tasting notes:

Nose: Orchard fruits, honey, buttered toast

Palate: Oily and rich, banana bread, sticky toffee pudding

Finish: Medium with dusty sweet spices
