Tullibardine Sherry Finish Murray McDavid Cask Craft 44.5% ABV
A stellar release in independent bottler Murray McDavid’s Cask Craft collection, this dram has been finished in an ex-sherry hogshead for a vibrant, fruity lift. While the spirit seems young, it’s a perfect match for the cask and the result is exactingly balanced. Like all releases in the Cask Craft line, it’s bottled at 44.5% ABV at natural colour.
Tasting note:
Nose: Initially light and aromatic, there are bakery spices alongside toffee, raisin and dried apricot.
Palate: A veritable fruit basket with blackberry, raspberry, plum and raisin, plus milk chocolate and a dash of cocoa power.
Finish: Medium length and drying into soft, toasty spices.
