Teaninich 11 Year Old / 2011 / Thompson Bros / 2010 / 53.9% / 70cl

A rich  highland single malt from the Teaninich Distillery established Refill Hogshead then 11 months in a Black Isle Stout cask / 298 bottles.

Nose: Some ripe fruits with a little orange spice undertone, toffee and vanilla pod, soft peach and apricots. Some cocoa and soft spices.

Palate: Rich tasting toffee and caramel with a hint of chocolate and honey, pink pepper and crushed toasted almond, a slight floral and earthy note comes in, dark toffee and hints of dates and fig, some tangy notes from the cask shine through but never too overpowering as you enjoy this dram.
