A sensationally sherried release from the team at Decadent Drinks! This is a 10 year old single malt from Speyside’s Mortlach distillery, bottled at cask strength by the independent bottler. It was filled into refill hogsheads back in 2012, and then after eight years was moved into first-fill sherry butts. And it’s released under the Notable Age Statements brand!
Tasting note:
Nose: Rich and pronounced, there’s loads of Mortlach maltiness in which rich dark chocolate, a powdery cinnamon, and loads of dark dried fruits.
Palate: The boldness continues with freshly ground coffee beans, jammy berries, Christmas cake, almonds and more of that meatiness.
Finish: Long and warming, drying into an earthiness.
