According to The Whisky Sponge team, when they came across this cask they just “absolutely had to bottle it”. Distilled back in 2005, this is the result of vatting two second-fill sherry butts. Incredibly active, they imparted huge amounts of flavour, but left low levels of whisky at a high ABV. A remarkably well-aged expression reminiscent of much older drams.
