If you’ve yet to discover the joy of cachaça, this is a great place to start! Made in Brazil from freshly pressed raw sugar cane juice, cachaça is not dissimilar to agricole rum, but it very much brings its own character. This expression from Leblon has been aged in French oak barrels for up to six months with adds an extra smoothness. Ideal in a classic Caipirinha, or indeed on its own over ice.
Tasting note:
Initially fresh and green, with herbal notes alongside melon and mango. With time, the banana notes ripen, and vanilla, citrus and black pepper emerge.
