Lagavulin  26 Year Old 2021 Special Release.

The King of Islay-The Lion’s Jewel. First fill Pedro Ximenez Oloroso seasoned casks.

Nose: Coastal with soft seaweed and hints of sweet smoke add a layer of classic Lagavulin to the nose we all know and love but this dram is far more intriguing as it opens up in the glass to reveal dark fruits, figs and dates with dark chocolate nibs.

Palate: Rich warming and smooth at the opening of the palate, after a second or two, cracked black pepper and sea salt coated cashews, some olive oil, before a sweet fruity note flows in, some red apple skins and peach with savoury honey notes.

A long lingering rich finish that shines with taste to the very end.
