Nose: With a building and superbly rich nose of tangy orchard fruits, some pear and green apples with a touch of spice, Tropical fruits, with the rich aromatic peat of the island adding a nice earthy note, smoke and peat are the most notable aromas but balanced nicely with the fruity notes.
Palate: The front of the palate has a rather nice citrus and tropical fruit note, with a hint of chocolate and sweet spices, a rich and oily waxiness pushes in to the mid palate, with some cracked pink and black pepper corns, smoke and peat building rich through the front and mid palate, with a hint of charred oak and dark toffee with a hint of spices, a bold and rounded finish of peat smoke.
