Rum from Martinique HSE Rozelieures Cask / 2013 / 44% / 50cl
Here we have a rum aged in oak casks for 6 years then then moved into Rozelieures French whisky casks for up to another year.
Nose: Crapes with a hint of cocoa and spices, some sweet dried fruits start to shine through alongside smoke notes to add intrigue to the nose.
Palate: Rich smooth and vibrant start on the palate, some rich cereal notes toasted over a light charcoal, sweet fruits and a hint of soft vanilla, strawberries for a little balanced sweetness into the final notes of aged rum with a spiced fruit, lingering finish.
