The Martinique rhum agricole has been aged for five years in oak barrels, ahead of a second 12-month maturation in a Sauternes cask from Château La Tour Blanche. And the results are stunning. Passionfruit, honey and apricot come through on the nose, ahead of a subtly gingerbread-focused palate, made lush with all those pungent agricole notes. An essential release for rum lovers.
