Nose: Rich sherry notes on the front of the nose, a tempting dark chocolate and fruit cake, some waxiness and vanilla, with a hint of dark fruits coming into play as the dram opens alongside cinnamon and other sweet spices, some whipped caramel and cream round off the nose.
Palate: Some rather tempting dark chocolate and hints of cherry, toasted nuts and creamy notes with a hint of dark toffee and strawberry, Bakewell tart with a spicy peppery note, some liquorice and late season orchard fruits, sweet citrus and subtle spices lead into a lingering rich finish.
