Glentauchers 2011 10 Years Old 47.5% PX sherry cask
Nose: A substantial nose of dark fruits with a rich orange aroma, its giving off some marmalade on toasted cinnamon buns, with a dark chocolate and honey tone, hints of milk and dark chocolate flow in again as we find some soft tobacco leaf and damson.
Palate: The sherry cask is very noticeable on the front of the palate, its a deliciously elegant dram of dark fruits, A rich creamy texture balanced out with some earthy orchard fruits and toasted barley lots of sherried notes, Some spices and a hint of red velvet.
