Glenrothes 14 Year Old 2008 Chapter 7 Sherry Butt 52% ABV
Chapter 7’s very first Glenrothes bottling! Released as part of its Monologue series, this Speyside expression has been fully matured in an ex-sherry butt. Distilled back in 2008, it slumbered for 14 years before being bottled at natural colour with no chill-filtration. This is one of 647 bottles released.
Tasting note:
Nose: Immediately nutty with a wash of milk chocolate, marmalade, walnut and jammy fruit notes coming through later.
Palate: The nuttiness continues on the palate with walnut and hazelnut, plus runny honey, glacé cherries, and milky coffee.
Finish: Medium length with more drying coffee.
