This Italian export from Glenallachie distillery Established in 1967 was released in the 1970's not many distilleries exported whiskies as a single malt in the 70's so it's rather unique in some ways for that alone.
The style of Glenallachie has always been one of rich smooth and rounded flavours.
Nose: Light golden honeycomb and soft toasted cereal, some sweet vanilla, pears and melon, some light oak and creamy toffee.
Palate: Soft sponge and light golden fruits, peach and apricots, soft creamy notes, vanilla, fresh baked apple pie, some light sweet spice and ripe banana, with a little warming spice leading to a nicely balanced finish.
