Nose: Some classic sherry cask notes flow out from the glass, the PX Cask influence is immediately apparent with big rich chocolatey notes, some dark fruit cake and red syrup, more rich and fruity aromas arrive like dark fruits damson and sweet figs.
Palate: The palate is a delightful smooth and rounded taste explosion, Medjool dates and a little sweet cherry and toasted waffles, rich dark spiced chocolate, cookies and sweet raisins, the counterbalance that really makes this dram shine is a hint of cracked black and pink pepper, some vanilla and honey add to the richness.
