A masterclass in shaved, toasted and re-charred casks all the way from Yorkshire! After a primary maturation in ex-Bourbon casks, the Filey Bay team used these ex-Spanish wine casks for a long finishing period. This vibrantly hued dram offers all manner of red fruit notes. One to savour.
Tasting note
Nose: Rich and chocolatey, with raspberries, strawberries, fresh satsuma and an aromatic grassiness.
Palate: More red berries give way to honeycomb, crème brûlée, a tobacco spice, black pepper and a drying toastiness.
Finish: Long and rich, with even more fruit.
