The Dumbarton distillery closed in 2002
Nose: Light sweet summer fruit pudding, vanilla and soft melon notes, with a touch of shortbread and brioche, the nose builds nicely with a rich and oily undertone, ice cream cones and delicate spices.
Palate: Some charred wood fired sweet pastry, vanilla and honey with a touch of mellow ginger and spices, with a rich and mouth-coating pear and peach balanced out with a touch of toffee and cream, spies again in the late palate leading to a rich and lingering finish.
