A must-taste for rum lovers, this is an independently bottled expression from Guyanese distillery Diamond. Aged for 17 years in American oak, this is a gloriously complex, astoundingly smooth release. Just 148 bottles of this elegant, meticulously aged rum have been made available.
Tasting note:
Nose: Bursting with tropical fruit, vanilla and toffee notes, back by earthy coffee aromas and rich spices.
Palate: Butterscotch and sweet spices come to the fore. With time, toasted wood notes and furniture polish arrive, along with a very subtle smoke.
Finish: Long with more caramel and drying spices.
