Croftengea 16 Years Old Thompson Brothers 50% Vol

Nose: Soft and dry spices mingle with a fresh forest aroma, some light whiffs of charred oak smoke, ripe red apples, some soft melon and mild citrus, damp oak and subtle peat, with a waxy aroma binding the dram together nicely on the nose.

Palate: More fruity than the nose to start off with, some brambles and gooseberry, spiced pears and baked apple, shortcrust pastry, soft but building sweet smoke, crushed black pepper and slightly tangy strawberry, the peat smoke that rolls under and around this dram adds to the experience of rich flavours on the palate.
