Bowmore x Aston Martin 22 Year Old Masters' Selection 51.5% - 70cl
An exceptional bottling, the second release in the Islay distillery’s Master’s Selection collaboration with iconic car maker Aston Martin is here. Made from spirit distilled in 1997 and 2000, this 22-year-old single malt Scotch is crafted from American oak ex-Bourbon hogsheads and European oak sherry butts, prior to a tawny Port cask finishing period. Subtle smoke runs through a lively, complex fruitiness. A dram to luxuriate in.
Nose: Opens with rich, round dark fruit notes, aromatic heather, walnut, and fresh pencil shavings, wrapped up in an unctuous honey.
Palate: Rich toffee and vanilla fudge come to the fore, followed by a soft prickle of cinnamon spice, liquorice, and a gentle whisper of bonfire smoke.
Finish: Long and warming, the complexity lingers on through black pepper spice and more liquorice.
