A great aged Islay from the world famous Bowmore distillery.
Nose: Soft smoke and sweet peat, some rich aromatic citrus notes, shortbread and lemon, soft polished oak and leather add a little classic Islay richness to the nose, with an aroma of wet whisky casks in a warehouse, some tropical fruits come in to play.
Palate: First thing you notice is how rich and complex this dram is as you take the first sip, leathery notes, some smouldering ember notes, tropical fruits, saltwater taffy, crumbly fruit cake, candied orange, salted caramel and honey, green tea and liquorice root, some oily notes, smoke and soft sweet peat.
