Two years in a first fill Pedro Ximenez cask has added a rich and delicate smoothness to this single malt that's unrivalled, delivering flavour and balance from the first sip to the last.
Nose: Smooth and creamy is clean and fruity, mostly dominated by ripe cherries, some dark cocoa and soft churned buttery richness, honey and soft ginger show signs of a classic speysider, with demerara sugar and dark berries.
Palate: Creamy smooth buttery note of fresh pastries, candied oranges, some tannic dark brooding fruits, a little hint of candied orange and ginger snaps, peach and cream tones lifting into the mid palate, shortbread and dates with a hint of white chocolate and sour berry candies, a smooth and lingering finish.
