A great vintage from Islay with a depth of flavour that is so old school Islay.
Nose: Rich and very fruity with soft tropical fruits, some peach, apricot, melon and grapes add to the tropical fruits. Lashings of aromatic smoke with a toffee and vanilla note, creamy banana and cooking spice.
Palate: Classic Islay with a salty iodine profile, some rich dried fruits, soft melting white chocolate and lemon with some damp wood smoke, tropical ripe fruits like mango and hints of star fruit, and candied orange and stem ginger. As we head to the rich finish of sweet honey and barley sugar twists we have some dried pineapple sweetness, ale and bonfire embers
