Filey Bay Moscatel Finish Batch #3 46% ABV

First launched back in March 2020, Filey Bay Moscatel Finished was the brand’s first ‘finished’ expression – and it’s rapidly become a fan favourite. After scooping medals galore for its second release, it’s back with Batch #3, a soft, fruity, sweet delight. Filey Bay is made at England’s Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery, and its finishing programme has become a must-taste.

Tasting note:

Nose: Beautifully sweet, there’s brown sugar, fudge, white chocolate, banana bread, citrus peels, peach and something almost tea-like.

Palate: Slightly earthier spices come through, along with liquorice, gingerbread, raisins and fresh orange. There’s more stone fruit and gentle vanilla, too.

Finish: Medium length and gentle, with more spices and soft shortbread.
