Nose: Sweet with lots of rich fruit notes, with a little hint of toasted cereal and mixed nuts, some delicious honey and hints of leather make an interesting aroma on the nose. Dark cocoa nibs and hints of tempting sweet peat and smoke in the background.
Palate: As this dram hits the front of the palate we find rich sherry cask notes, Dark chocolate and sweet spices, sweet cherries and hints of black pepper, vanilla and coffee beans, some light hints of salted caramel and redcurrant.
With the rich complexity of Islay peat and hints of iodine running alongside some spices and autumnal flora and fauna including, chestnuts & apple with a spicy sweet barbeque profile. This is a dram to savour right to its warming finish.
