St Patrick’s Day rolls round each year on 17 March. Usually we mark the occasion with a tasting flight of incredible whiskeys and a hearty Irish stew. This year though we’re pushing the boat out. Thanks to our friends at Teeling, we're offering the chance for you to win a VIP trip for two to the Dublin distillery, complete with dinner and an overnight stay.

Teeling is making waves on the Irish whiskey scene. Founded by brothers Jack and Stephen Teeling back in 2012, the brand is built on a family whiskey-making legacy. As long ago as 1782 their ancestors were producing whiskey in Dublin’s industrial centre – and it all came full-circle in 2015 when the duo opened the new Teeling Distillery. It was the first new maker in the city for over 125 years.

Today, the Teeling team use innovative techniques, quirky mash bills and boundary-pushing distillation methods to craft experimental whiskeys. From single malt and grain to small-batch bottlings and beyond, everything is released without chill-filtration to max out the cask character. This is a maker redefining its category. Now we’re offering one lucky whiskey lover the chance to explore the world of Teeling first-hand.

Along with their plus-one, the winner will be whisked off to the Emerald Isle for an immersion in all things Teeling. You’ll get to see the distillery home and enjoy a money-can't-buy tour experience with one of their expert brand ambassadors. After taking it all in, you’ll enjoy a Teeling tasting right in the heart of Dublin. That night, you’ll be treated to a fancy dinner and a luxurious stay, with all your travel from the UK covered, too.

How to enter

How to enter? Pick up a bottle of Teeling from the Milroy’s online shop before 28 March, and you’ll be automatically entered into the prize draw. Eligible bottles include Teeling Small Batch 70cl, Teeling Single Grain 70cl, Teeling Single Malt 70cl, Teeling Single Pot 70cl, Teeling Black Pits 70cl – so there really is something for every whiskey lover’s palate. We’ll be in touch with the lucky winner within five days of the competition closing.

Teeling Small Batch 

A masterclass in both cask maturation and blending, Teeling Small Batch is a bold expression brimming with character. Both grain and malt whiskeys are initially aged in ex-bourbon barrels, before being married together for up to a year in Central American rum casks. The result is a fruit-forward whiskey with herbal hints and toasted oak spices.

Teeling Single Malt 

Described as a symphony of flavour, Teeling Single Malt brings five different cask influences together in perfect harmony. New American oak, ruby Port, Carcavelos white Port, Madeira, and Bourbon-finished whiskeys are all blended to perfection, resulting in a smooth whiskey that offers an array of chocolate, passionfruit and floral notes.

Teeling Single Grain

Fantastically rich with a surprisingly smooth texture, Teeling Single Grain challenges preconceived notions of what Irish whiskey can be. Created from an unusual mash bill of 95% corn and 5% malted barley, the column-distilled spirit has been fully matured in American red wine casks. Expect a silky mouthfeel with deep berry notes.

Teeling Single Pot

Made according to time-honoured traditions yet surprisingly modern, Teeling Single Pot Still was the first whiskey to be distilled in Dublin in almost 50 years. Made with 50% malted and 50% unmalted barley and triple-distilled in copper pots, the honey, peach-like, cream soda sweetness was imparted by a combination of new American oak, Bourbon and sherry casks.

Teeling Blackpitts

Taking its name from the historic area in the Liberties, Dublin, Teeling BlackPitts is a peated expression bursting with barbeque smoke character. The bold release has been aged in a combination of Bourbon, Sauternes and white wine casks, resulting in an array of stewed fruit and salted caramel notes – plus that deliciously savoury smoke.

2. TERMS AND PRIVACY POLICY: By entering the prize draw, all entrants confirm they have read, understand and agree that there terms and the Milroy’s Privacy Policy are binding to them. Milroy’s reserves the right to amend these terms; to hold void, suspend, cancel or amend this competition at any time. All entry instructions issued by or on behalf of Milroy’s shall form part of these Terms and Conditions.

3. ELIGIBILITY: This prize draw shall only be open to online users from the UK and are 18 years or older. This prize draw is not open or available  to employees or family members of any employee of Milroy’s or any person employed by Milroy’s, or any person employed by any supplier to Milroy’s. 4. COMPETITION PERIOD: This competition opens at 16:00:00 GMT on 13 MARCH 2024 to 23:59:59 GMT on 28 MARCH 2024.

5. HOW TO ENTER: To enter, eligible individuals must purchase a bottle from the qualifying list of Teeling products from www.milroysofsoho.com within the outlined competition period. Qualifying products are: Teeling Small Batch 70cl, Teeling Single Grain 70cl, Teeling Single Malt 70cl, Teeling Single Pot 70cl, Teeling Black Pits 70cl. For an entry to be valid: (i) it must be made within the specified entry dates; (ii) the payment for the order must be received in full; (iii) the product must not be exchanged or refunded within the competition period, (iv) entrants must agree to Milroy’s Privacy Policy, (v) one entry per qualifying bottle purchased, (vi) products must be purchased from www.milroysofsoho.com, purchases from other vendors are not valid. Multiple entries are permitted. Qualifying entries into the prize draw can be completed through purchase via www.milroysofsoho.com or phone purchase via customer service on +44 20 8106 0630. 6. WINNER: There is 1 winner of the outlines prize. The prize winner and recipient will be selected at random out of all qualifying entries shortly after the competition period. The selection of winners will be final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into. ONE (1) winner will be drawn and awarded the prize in accordance with the laws of chance, using a computer process that produces verifiably random results from all valid entries received. 7. PRIZE PROVIDER: All prizes are provided by Bacardi Limited. The fulfilment and organisation of the prize will be provided by Bacardi Limited. All prizes are strictly non-negotiable, non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for any equivalent cash value, cash alternative, or for other items. Milroy’s accepts no liability for any loss of entries caused by a technical fault.

8. THE PRIZE: The winner will win a trip for 2 people (i.e. you can bring a guest but your guest must also be 18 years or older) to Teeling Distillery, Dublin, Ireland (13-17 Newmarket, The Liberties, Dublin 8, D08 KD91, Ireland) The prize is strictly non-negotiable, non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for any equivalent cash value, cash alternative, or for other items. The prize includes the following: Standard or economy return flights travel for 2 people from a major airport within the United Kingdom of their choice to Dublin, Ireland; Standard accommodation in Dublin at a hotel selected by the prize provider, for 1 night for 2 people; A tour and tasting at Teeling Whiskey Distillery for 2 guests; Dinner of the value of £80 per person for 2 guests at a preselected restaurant. Subject to availability and selected by the prize provider.

9. IMPORTANT BOOKING AND TRAVELLING RESTRICTIONS: The prize trip and all travel arrangements must be booked and taken within 12 months of the winner being notified of winning the prize; The prize and trip cannot be booked over the following dates due to the distilleries schedule 22-25th August and 24th, 25th, 26th December.

• All elements of the trip must be booked at least 2 months prior to the travelling date;

• Travel dates and relevant reservations once notified to the winner cannot be changed, postponed, or cancelled, however, the prize trip may be delayed or postponed in prize provider’s sole discretion if it becomes necessary for reasons beyond its control (e.g. covid-19 restrictions);

• Transfers to and from Dublin airport to the hotel will be covered by the prize provider;

• Transfer to and from the distillery from the accommodation will not be provided by the prize provider;

10. CLAIMING THE PRIZE: Milroy’s will make reasonable efforts to contact the winner via email or by telephone as soon as practicable. The prize recipient will be required to contact the prize provider to arrange fulfilment of the prize. If the winner cannot be contacted or is not available or has not claimed the prize within 5 days of Milroy’s contacting them, Milroy’s reserves the right to offer the prize to another eligible entrant. Milroy’s cannot accept any responsibility if any winner is unable to take up the prize or fails to claim the prize within the time limit as set out above. The winner must allow their details to be shared with the prize provider in order to accept the prize.

11. LIMITATIONS AND RESTRICTIONS: Milroy’s and its suppliers are not liable and shall not be liable for any change, compensation, cancellation, loss, damage, expense, or failure to perform which is due to any event or circumstances which Milroy’s (or its suppliers) could not foresee or avoid, or which is caused by or arises because of any act or omission by any other party. Any tax liability arising from the prizes or rewards will be the responsibility of the recipient.

12. GENERAL: These terms shall be governed by the law of England and Wales, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
