Nose: A sublime rich and smooth nose from the start, with dark orchard fruits, some creamy whipped fudge, fresh baked sponge with a rich fondant icing, flaked almonds and light golden honey, some chocolate and ripe dates.
Palate: The sherry cask is adding a superbly balanced sweetness to the front of the palate, some honey and rich cocoa and spiced apple, hints of candied citrus and vanilla pod, cinnamon and peach adding a rich mid note to the palate, with a sweet and creamy caramel heading into the exceptionally well balanced finish.
