An unusual release here from Highland single malt whisky distillery Teaninich. Unusual because not only was it matured in a first-fill wine barrique from when it was distilled in January 2013, but because it was reracked into an ex-Cheval Blanc cask in November 2023! It’s rare to get naming rights from a prestigious wine chateau like this one, so it feels especially exciting. Expect lots of green fruit and citrus notes, as well as floral elements and a zap of something herbaceous. Gorgeously complex and incredibly fun.
