Strathmill 11 Year Old The Mill In The Shallow Glen

A delightful single cask Strathmill release, this is part of the Brave New Spirits team’s Cask Noir Collection. The Mill in the Shallow Glen has spent 11 years in a shaved, toasted and re-charred (STR) white wine barrique, before being bottled at a hearty 59.8% natural cask strength. Located in Speyside, Strathmill is known for its long fermentation times, resulting in a fruit-forward distillery character.

Nose: After opening with gentle aromas of cut grass and fresh pear, the nose develops with citrus peel, fudge and white pepper notes.

Palate: Delicate and elegant, there’s wood shavings, fleshy pear, coconut and lemon drops, bolstered by a gentle cinnamon.

Finish: Medium length and dusty like lemon sherbet
