Stauning Smoke Single Malt 47% 70cl
A wildly aromatic, gorgeously complex single malt from Denmark’s Stauning Distillery. Although ‘mildly’ smoked, this expression offers an array of dense savoury notes alongside tobacco and a rich nuttiness. It’s been made from local barley malted on open floors, before being smoked over peat and heather. Stauning’s famously small, direct-fired stills contributed the oily texture, before first-fill wine casks injected a final zip of sweetness. Wonderful.
